Getting a Kindle book from our Catalog via the Ohio eBook Project

The Stark County District Library has already posted a video tutorial on how to get books for your Kindle from the Ohio eBook Project website.  What some people may not realize is that it is possible to access the Ohio eBook Project from SCDL's own online catalog.

If you are browsing our catalog (at search.starklibrary.org or on our homepage at www.starklibrary.org) and you see a title you wish to read, it may be available for electronic devices.  If it is, you will see a blue "eBook" symbol to the right of the title, like this:

 
That symbol means you can get the book in an eBook format from the Stark County District Library.  Not all eBooks are available specifically for Kindle, but you can check by clicking "Connect to title online" next to the picture of the book jacket.  Some titles may be available for Nooks and other devices that use the Adobe Digital Editions.  Stay tuned to this blog for more information on Nooks and other eReader devices.
